Photography day out at Chard Reservoir

Several members took up the challenge of our Saturday trip to Chard Reservoir. As is often the case with nature, the birds were elusive or keeping their distance.  A pair of grebes, a white egret and some smaller birds made appearances, but you had to be quick or armed with a long lens to get a frame filling shot. Several took advantage of the emerging hedgerows and spring weather to be creative, or simply dust off their kit after what felt like a long dull winter. Post event feedback reinforced the enjoyment and value of these group trips, where the social and chat was more important than images. Thanks to all that attended.
